Anand Gowda is the President & Managing Partner of Metropoulos & Co. Previously, Anand founded and led SilverStream Capital, a multibillion dollar family office. Prior to SilverStream he founded and led HBK Private Equity, LLC, the private equity arm of a HBK Capital Management. Earlier in his career, Anand was a Principal with The Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm. His experience also includes Morgan Stanley, Robertson Stephens & Company, and Price Waterhouse LLP. Anand graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and received his MBA from the University of Illinois.
Cary Devore is a Managing Director of Metropoulos & Co. Previously, Cary co-founded and led SilverStream Capital, a multibillion dollar family office. Prior to SilverStream, Cary co-founded and led HBK Private Equity, LLC, the private equity arm of HBK Capital Management. Previously, Cary was with Jordan Industries, Inc., an affiliate of The Jordan Company focused on middle‐market buyouts. Cary’s experience also includes UBS Investment Bank and Price Waterhouse LLP. Cary graduated from the University of Illinois, magna cum laude, and received his MBA from the University of Michigan with high honors.
Patrick Cook is a Vice President at Metropoulos & Co. Previously, Patrick co-founded and helped lead SilverStream Capital, a multibillion dollar family office. His experience also includes the Global Leveraged Finance Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Patrick graduated from Vanderbilt University with honors.
Russell Leto is the Chief Financial Officer of Metropoulos & Co. Previously, Russell was a Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Permanens Capital LP, a multi-billion dollar multi-family office and investment advisory firm. Prior to Permanens Capital he was the Director of Operations and Finance for EIM USA, Inc. a 14-Billion-dollar hedge fund of funds. His experience also includes Muzinich& Company and BDO USA LLP. Russell graduated from the State University of New York, College at Oswego and is a licensed CPA in the state of NY.
Howard Altman is the Chief Investment Officer of Metropoulos & Co. Previously, Howard was a Partner and the Senior Investment Officer of Permanens Capital LP, a multi-billion dollar multi-family office and investment advisory firm. Prior to Permanens Capital, he was a Portfolio Manager and Analyst at several equity long/short hedge funds, including Steeple Capital and Exis Capital. He began his career as an investment banking analyst at PaineWebber Incorporated. Howard graduated from Emory University.
David Buchanan has been engaged in mergers & acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and business operations for more than 17 years. Prior to joining Metropolous & Co. as its General Counsel in 2015, David served as the General Counsel for the Cannon Safe family of companies for five years, after practicing for over 10 years in the corporate, finance and restructuring departments of Latham & Watkins and Kirkland & Ellis. In private practice, he represented investment banks, private equity firms and private companies in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of mergers and acquisitions, financings, and corporate restructurings and insolvency proceedings.
David was born in Palo Alto, California, and attended Brigham Young University Law School, serving as a Senior Editor on the BYU Law Review and graduating cum laude. Upon graduation, He served as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk for the Hon. Jane McKeag of the United States Bankruptcy Court. David is a member of the California and Illinois Bar Associations. He has published several articles and is a frequent lecturer on UCC and related finance issues.
